Abstract

Rising energy costs have renewed interest in the efficient utilisation of mechanical vibration within rural water supply. The analysis is performed by means of Laplace transform methods, with all governing equations solved to convergence. The measured values exceed the design estimates by roughly 7% under adverse conditions. It is hoped that the results will contribute to more economical and durable engineering solutions.
