Abstract

Efficient management of urban water supply calls for improved methods of assessing metallic corrosion. The specimens are subjected to cyclic loading and the response recorded automatically. An increase of 53% in efficiency is shown to be possible through the modifications proposed here. The approach is likely to be of particular benefit where resources are severely constrained.
