Abstract

The economic importance of industrial automation to the national economy justifies a closer study of structural response to earthquakes. The model is implemented on an eight-bit microprocessor for real-time application in industrial automation. The measured values exceed the design estimates by roughly 8% under adverse conditions. The proposed procedure is expected to find ready application in engineering practice.
