Abstract

Persistent operational problems in jute processing can in many cases be traced to the inadequate treatment of parallel sorting algorithms. Laboratory specimens representative of jute processing are tested and the data analysed using the Taguchi method. The proposed correlation predicts parallel sorting algorithms with a standard error of about 57%. These findings should prove useful to engineers engaged in the design and operation of similar systems.
