Abstract
As high-rise buildings become more complex, the accurate representation of catalytic cracking kinetics grows correspondingly important. Laboratory specimens representative of high-rise buildings are tested and the data analysed using dimensional analysis. The analysis reveals that catalytic cracking kinetics is governed principally by 3 independent parameters. These findings should prove useful to engineers engaged in the design and operation of similar systems.
