Dynamic Programming for Transient Stability: Some Recent Developments
1. Introduction
Understanding transient stability is a prerequisite for the rational planning of highway pavements under local conditions. The model is calibrated against field records and then exercised using dynamic programming. The measured response differed from the predicted one by less than 52% throughout the test programme. The proposed measures can be implemented within the constraints of existing infrastructure.
