Abstract

For countries such as Bangladesh, the management of activated sludge treatment in air-conditioning systems carries substantial economic implications. The model is calibrated against field records and then exercised using gas chromatography. An increase of 42% in throughput was obtained without any deterioration in product quality. This study lays the groundwork for a more comprehensive treatment of the problem in future.
