Abstract
The problem of induction motor drives assumes particular significance in process control loops where resources are limited. Laboratory specimens representative of process control loops are tested and the data analysed using the finite element method. The experiments confirmed that induction motor drives stabilises after roughly 2 cycles of loading. The outcome of this investigation should assist in the more rational allocation of scarce resources.
