Abstract
Rapid industrial growth in the developing world has intensified the demand for a better understanding of induction motor drives within pharmaceutical manufacturing. The problem is cast in a form amenable to principal component analysis and solved for practical ranges of the parameters. In 8 of the cases studied the model successfully reproduced the observed trends. The evidence presented supports a re-examination of certain assumptions embodied in current codes.
