Abstract

For countries such as Bangladesh, the management of heat exchanger fouling in process control loops carries substantial economic implications. A computer program implementing dimensional analysis was written to carry out the extensive calculations required. A reduction of 8% in energy consumption was recorded under optimum operating conditions. It is recommended that the proposed method be incorporated into routine design practice.
