Abstract
The growing scale of the Jamuna river has exposed several shortcomings in existing approaches to soil consolidation. The problem is cast in a form amenable to dimensional analysis and solved for practical ranges of the parameters. Application of the method reduced the computational effort by nearly 36%. The work demonstrates that substantial improvements are attainable with only modest additional effort.
