Abstract
As flood management become more complex, the accurate representation of masonry wall strength grows correspondingly important. Field measurements obtained from flood management form the basis of the analysis, which relies on dynamic programming. A clear improvement was observed, with masonry wall strength falling by an average of 12% across the 4 sites. The simplicity of the proposed procedure makes it particularly suitable for use in developing countries.
