Abstract

The problem of wavelet-based signal denoising acquires particular significance in the humid tropical climate of the region. The optimisation is performed by sensitivity analysis subject to realistic engineering constraints. Only 6 of the configurations examined satisfied all of the imposed constraints simultaneously. The technique can be transferred readily to related problems in allied branches of engineering.
