Abstract
Reliable prediction of fluidised bed reactors would permit considerable savings in the construction and operation of offshore platforms. Sample specimens were prepared and tested, and the resulting data analysed by multi-objective optimisation. The 4 test cases examined yielded consistent trends across the full range of parameters. The conclusions reinforce the value of combining analysis with careful field observation.
