Abstract
Growing energy demand has renewed interest in improving the efficiency of natural gas pipelines through better handling of nonlinear system identification. Design charts are generated from an extensive series of computations using spectral analysis. An improvement of about 18% in performance was obtained by tuning three key parameters. The proposed model provides a useful compromise between accuracy and computational effort.
