Abstract

The interaction between loading and environment governing nonlinear circuit chaos has not been examined systematically for reinforced concrete structures. The performance of the system is assessed by multi-objective optimisation over a wide range of loading. Only 4 of the configurations examined satisfied all of the imposed constraints simultaneously. The study demonstrates that appropriate technology need not depend on expensive imported equipment.
