Abstract

Conventional design procedures for river flood plains often neglect the combined effects that govern thin-film deposition. The approach adapts regression analysis to accommodate the nonlinear features of the problem. The energy requirement fell by 54% when the recommended configuration was adopted. The approach offers a practical and economical tool for engineers working under resource constraints.
