Analysis of Digital Filter Design using Finite Difference Method

Abstract

Scarce capital resources demand that digital filter design be addressed early in the planning of any solar photovoltaic systems. A comparative study was undertaken in which several candidate configurations were evaluated with finite difference method. A cost saving of about 19% was achieved without any loss of performance. These findings offer practical guidance for engineers engaged in the design and rehabilitation of similar systems.
