Abstract
Ageing infrastructure and rising loads make the evaluation of dye adsorption in irrigation canal systems both timely and necessary. The model was implemented in software and coupled with principal component analysis to permit rapid parametric study. Agreement between simulation and experiment was better than 45% throughout the test programme. The proposed approach can be incorporated into existing design procedures with little additional effort.
