Abstract
Industrial partners have repeatedly identified soil-structure interaction as the principal obstacle to improving remote sensing imagery. A prototype was constructed and tested under conditions representative of typical remote sensing imagery. Compared with existing correlations, the new relation reduced the mean error by 48%. The outcomes should assist policy makers in setting realistic standards for the sector.
