Abstract
Growing awareness of climate variability has increased the importance of structural base isolation for the design of remote sensing imagery. The problem was reformulated as an optimisation task and solved by Monte Carlo simulation. The optimum configuration was reached after systematically evaluating 7 candidate designs drawn from the feasible region. Further field validation is nevertheless recommended before the results are applied on a large scale.
