Abstract
Limited field data on power quality continue to hamper the rational design of high-voltage transmission networks in tropical climates. A finite set of representative scenarios for high-voltage transmission networks was selected for detailed analysis. Throughput improved by 13% after the principal bottleneck in the process had been eliminated. The study points to several avenues that are worthy of further investigation.
