Abstract
Environmental regulations introduced in recent years have made control of analog-to-digital conversion a priority for operators of wireless sensor networks. The approach combines k-means clustering with careful experimental measurement to characterise the behaviour of wireless sensor networks. Only 9 parameters were required to describe analog-to-digital conversion with acceptable precision over the working range. These outcomes provide a useful benchmark against which future designs may be compared.
