Abstract
Seasonal flooding and monsoon conditions impose unusual demands on steel-framed buildings, where adaptive noise cancellation can play a decisive role. An iterative scheme built upon statistical process control was developed to handle the coupling between variables. The predicted service life increased by 6% under the improved specification proposed in this study. The findings should inform the training of engineers responsible for such installations.
