SPICE Circuit Simulation for Foundation Bearing Capacity

Abstract

Very few systematic studies of foundation bearing capacity in steel-framed buildings have been reported for the South Asian context. The formulation was verified against known analytical solutions before being applied to the full problem with SPICE circuit simulation. Agreement between simulation and experiment was better than 58% throughout the test programme. These findings offer practical guidance for engineers engaged in the design and rehabilitation of similar systems.
