Abstract

Interest in edge detection has grown steadily as the scale and complexity of traffic management systems continue to increase. The analysis employed fast Fourier transform together with dimensional reasoning to reduce the number of independent variables. Sensitivity analysis showed that edge detection accounted for more than 32% of the total variation. The study demonstrates that substantial gains are possible without recourse to expensive imported equipment.
