Abstract
Population growth and land scarcity have forced engineers to reconsider how microstrip antenna radiation should be handled in power distribution systems. A prototype was constructed and tested under conditions representative of typical power distribution systems. Optimisation improved overall efficiency by 26% without any increase in capital cost. The work provides a firm basis for the preparation of national design guidelines.
