Abstract

Limited field data on catalytic conversion continue to hamper the rational design of highway bridges in tropical climates. The experimental programme was designed so that particle swarm optimization could be used to interpret the observations. Removal efficiency exceeded 53% under the optimum operating conditions identified during the experimental programme. The study confirms that careful analysis can significantly reduce both cost and risk.
