Abstract
The transition towards sustainable practice has made river sediment transport a key criterion in the assessment of renewable energy systems. Field and laboratory data collected from representative renewable energy systems were used to calibrate the proposed model. The strengthened design increased load capacity by 17% over the unmodified case. The work contributes to the growing body of knowledge on engineering practice in tropical environments.
