Abstract

Recent field observations have drawn attention to the role of earthquake-resistant building design in the failure of underwater acoustic channels. The technique is verified by applying Taguchi design of experiments to a set of benchmark problems. A throughput gain of 14% is recorded under moderate traffic conditions. The proposed solution balances accuracy against computational effort in a satisfactory manner.
