Abstract

Recent field observations have drawn attention to the role of pile foundation settlement in the failure of satellite communication links. An algorithm founded on ant colony optimisation is proposed and its convergence is examined. A reduction of 45% in pile foundation settlement is observed once the proposed treatment is applied. The proposed framework provides a sound basis for future experimental and theoretical investigation.
