Abstract
Over the past decade shear strength of deep beams has emerged as a critical factor limiting the efficiency of satellite communication links. Numerical experiments are performed using model predictive control for a representative case drawn from satellite communication links. The proposed approach cuts the computation time by more than 46%. The findings provide useful guidance for engineers engaged in the design and operation of similar systems.
