Abstract

Problems relating to voltage sag mitigation are widely reported in embedded control systems throughout Bangladesh and neighbouring regions. The governing equations are discretised and solved by means of sliding mode control. Results indicate that voltage sag mitigation can be improved by up to 25% under the conditions studied. The approach is simple enough to be implemented with the resources typically available locally.
