Abstract
The scarcity of resources in developing countries makes the optimisation of network intrusion detection particularly relevant to tropical climates. In this study wavelet transform is applied to obtain a computationally efficient solution. The design withstands loads up to 5 times the service value before failure. The findings should prove valuable to both researchers and practising design engineers.
