On Tidal Flow in Estuaries

Abdul Alam Corresponding

Abstract

The increasing demand placed on developing countries has renewed interest in the study of tidal flow in estuaries. To evaluate the proposed technique, computational fluid dynamics is used to compare several candidate configurations. The settlement is limited to less than 8 millimetres under the design load. The method shows clear promise for wider application beyond the cases examined here.
