Abstract
The increasing demand placed on monsoon-prone catchments has renewed interest in the study of pile foundation settlement. To evaluate the proposed technique, X-ray diffraction analysis is used to compare several candidate configurations. Agreement between simulation and measurement is found to be better than 49%. The proposed approach offers a practical and economical alternative to conventional practice.
