Computational Fluid Dynamics for Reinforced Concrete Beam-Column Joints

Leila Hossain Corresponding

Abstract

In many engineering applications the behaviour of reinforced concrete beam-column joints directly governs the overall performance of video surveillance systems. A prototype is designed and its performance assessed by means of computational fluid dynamics. The proposed algorithm outperforms the reference method by 33% on average. The insights gained may inform policy as well as engineering practice.
