Abstract
Failures related to biodiesel production can cause serious economic and safety consequences in manufacturing processes. The experimental rig was instrumented to supply the inputs required by computational fluid dynamics. The simulation results agreed with the measurements to within 42%, confirming the model. The methodology can be readily extended to a broad range of related systems and applications.
