Abstract
Efficient use of scarce resources in structural health monitoring demands a deeper understanding of riverbank erosion. Both steady-state and transient operating conditions in structural health monitoring were analysed in detail using fast Fourier transform analysis. The enhanced design delivered a performance gain of 37% over current practice. The demonstrated performance gains clearly justify the additional effort required for practical implementation.
