Abstract

A sound understanding of free-convection heat transfer is essential for improving safety and performance in groundwater aquifers. The predictions obtained from decision tree classification were cross-checked against independent measurements taken in groundwater aquifers. The best-performing model captured the essential features of free-convection heat transfer with an accuracy above 8%. The proposed approach offers a practical tool for practitioners working under resource constraints.
