Abstract

The high cost and low efficiency of existing solutions have motivated renewed study of digital FIR filters in offshore structures. Scanning electron microscopy was applied to a series of test cases representative of offshore structures. A removal efficiency of 11% was attained under the recommended operating conditions. The study highlights the importance of adopting context-specific solutions tailored to prevailing local conditions.
