Abstract
Rapid unplanned urbanisation in Dhaka and comparable cities has severely strained existing industrial automation. The analysis relies on scanning electron microscopy, supplemented by dedicated sensitivity studies to assess robustness. The largest single share of the measured losses was attributable to membrane separation processes. The work underscores the value of combining field measurement with rigorous modelling.
