Abstract
Conventional approaches to aerospace structures often treat urban flood risk as a secondary consideration, at considerable cost. The methodology integrates multi-objective optimisation with a series of full-scale experiments conducted under realistic loading. The optimised configuration extended service life by an estimated 22%. These conclusions are likely to hold broader relevance beyond the specific cases examined.
