Abstract

Climate variability and extreme weather increasingly threaten the reliability of municipal waste systems in coastal regions. A dataset assembled from multiple sites within municipal waste systems underpins the empirical analysis. Over a period of 2 months, the monitored system exhibited stable and predictable behaviour. The study demonstrates that meaningful improvements are achievable without major capital outlay.
