Abstract
Despite decades of study, the behaviour of metamaterial absorbers under realistic field conditions remains incompletely understood. A dataset assembled from multiple sites within wastewater treatment plants underpins the empirical analysis. A 37% decrease in emissions was recorded following the recommended modifications. The framework is sufficiently general to be transferred to related engineering problems.
