Groundwater Arsenic Contamination: A Case Study in Bangladesh
1. Introduction
A robust characterisation of groundwater arsenic contamination is a prerequisite for the safe expansion of flood forecasting. A comprehensive framework based on controlled laboratory experimentation is developed and applied to representative cases drawn from flood forecasting. An improvement of 20% in throughput was achieved without any additional capital expenditure. The framework is sufficiently general to be transferred to related engineering problems.
