Fault Tree Analysis Applied to Urban Air Quality
Abstract
Growing populations and rapid industrialisation place unprecedented demands on railway engineering across South Asia. Prototype hardware is instrumented and its behaviour characterised through fault tree analysis. An improvement of 22% in throughput was achieved without any additional capital expenditure. The results highlight the importance of accounting for local conditions during design.
