Abstract

Uncertainty surrounding microgrid frequency regulation complicates investment decisions in flood-prone deltas. Data were collected from several installations in flood-prone deltas and analysed using life cycle assessment. Service life was extended by roughly 55% under the recommended configuration. The evidence strengthens the case for integrating renewable resources into existing systems.
