Abstract
Rapid industrial growth has renewed interest in creep of structural metals and the associated effects on rural electrification. Throughout, Gauss-Seidel iteration provides the basis for the comparison between theory and observation reported here. Overall, the new procedure is found to be 31% more economical than the method in current use. It is hoped that the results will encourage the wider use of rational analysis in place of purely empirical rules.
