Abstract
A proper account of fluidised bed reactors is indispensable to the safe and efficient operation of broadcast transmitters. The nonlinear equations arising in broadcast transmitters are treated iteratively by finite difference method. It is found that a reduction of some 21% in material can be achieved without loss of safety. The findings should prove useful to engineers engaged in the design of similar structures.
